The Evers House is a faith based, non-profit, sober living program that is 6-12 months. Our mission is to provide a safe and supportive environment for individuals seeking recovery through faith-based practices. The Evers House is a recovery residence operating under a democratic structure with a zero-tolerance policy for drugs and alcohol. Leadership is overseen by a house-chair, and new residents undergo a 30-day probationary period during which they are restricted to attending mandatory appointments, meetings, and work commitments. After completing the 30-day probationary period and ensuring their fees are up to date, residents transition to the regular program rules.

I work very hard keeping his legacy going...I hope he is proud of me. Nothing makes me happier than seeing these beautiful women stay sober and succeed! We do recover!
My name is Michelle Cammarata. I'm a mother of 3, and a Nunna of 10 (Grandmother). I am a Realtor at Selling 850, plus I own a small decorating / decluttering business. I am passionate about The Evers program because addiction has touched my life in several ways since I was a young child. Family members and friends alike have been addict's on and off over the years. I feel there is alot of stigma on the "face of addiction", and I'm here to say it's not always what you think. It could very easily be your child's teacher, your doctor, the person you work with, or even the person you lay beside every night. I feel like it's time to shed more light on addiction and help in anyway we can. Helping to empower women into their full potential instead of tearing them down is at the root of success in this program and I am Grateful to be a part of it.

I was born and raised here in Panama City, FL I’m 61 and I have 2 Sons Chris my oldest passed away in 2017 of a massive heart attack Scott my other Son had to have open heart surgery 2 months later they inherited a heart disease from their Father. He passed away from a massive heart attack at age 27 we had no idea of the disease. My boys were 4&2 at the time I became a widow at age 25. My children fell into addiction to drugs in their teens it is a very heartbreaking thing to watch. They both have criminal records and served time in prison for drug charges. So this program holds a special place in my heart. It’s a very difficult disease to overcome and my prayer is to be able to help and minister to these precious Women. Wish there had been a program for my Sons during their time of addiction. Praising God that my Son has overcame his addiction it’s been a long hard road but hoping to be able to share and help others. We all deserve second chances!

I'd like to start this with Evers House saved my life. I was homeless at one point, before finding a room in for lack of a better term "drug house". I had lost my children to the state, lost my job, home, car and family. I had nothing but the drug. Fentanyl took everything from me. After getting clean, trying sober living a couple times, relapsing and losing myself even further the second time. I contacted Jen and Cathy from Evers House who had helped me before. They immediately offered me refuge. I got into detox with their help, started their six months program. Once my mind and body were drug free, I immediately found my connection to God again. I was able to restart my case plan and classes for my children as well. After completing Evers House program and with their support and help, I gained my own home back, custody of my children, stable work and my life back. They even now continue to be a huge part of my life and support system. Forever grateful for this program and blessed to know the women running it. I AM FREE.
Hello my name is Trinity Bonner. I have five kids, two in heaven, one passed from fentanyl poisoning. My Friends call me little butterfly because I flutter around and sprinkle Jesus on everyone. I love nature and King Jesus and have been delivered from the spirit of death because of losing my son. Now I wake up every morning saying what adventure do we get to go on today. He shows up in more ways than i could type in this introduction however I look forward to walking out this journey with all He places in my path. I am a former addict redeemed from drugs myself and I know the hold it can have over you and your family.
My name is Victoria. I was born and raised here in Panama City. I come from a very unorthodox upbringing that blessed my life path in numerous ways. Very loving, open minded, free spirited, rock-n-roll childhood. Im the baby of 3, and my mom struggled with mental health issues and wasn't always present in my younger years, so I was every bit of young wild and free! I fell in love at the very unripe age of 17, which took me down a 13 year path of domestic violence and drug abuse through the eyes of a loved one. Those years also gave me 4 beautiful, strong, intelligent, silly children that are my every reason to do better, and it also helped mold me into the woman I am today. 4 years later im showing up as the happiest, healthiest, strongest version of myself thus far, and I continue to grow daily. Im very big on holistic healing and natural remedies. Thats something I would love to introduce to The Evers House, along with so many other ways to heal and grow from the inside out.
I am originally from Jacksonville, Florida, but I have called Bay County home for many years. My wife and I are approaching our 31st anniversary and we are proud parents of a son and daughter. Our son served in both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force and is now married with a child. Our daughter is pursuing her culinary dream and degree at the Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York.
In 2011, I fell off a ladder coming down a power pole that left me with limited mobility for over a year. Initially I resisted seeking God's help. It wasn't until we were facing financial hardship two years later that I turned to God for healing. While I anticipated physical healing, God first addressed my heart, followed by my physical recovery. This led me to Vocational Rehab, a Florida program that enabled me to learn new skills at the Panama City Rescue Mission in 2012. I started off by learning clerical skills, but when I left there, I was the Men's Recovery Manager and became a pastor in 2016.
Since then, I've pastored churches in Florida, Alabama, and Missouri. My wife and I recently returned to the area to care for my mother-in-law, and I currently work as a Field Service Engineer for a Virginia-based tech company, covering Panama City, Florida, and Dothan, Alabama.
My decision to join The Evers House comes from a deep conviction that it offers a remarkable opportunity to serve God and my community. I believe The Evers House is a transformative place where individuals can unlock their full, God-given potential, and I cannot wait to see God show up and show off there!
Hello: My name is Melissa, I am the mother of one wonderful
young man who recently turned 15 years old. In March 2025
I got married to a Godly man and we have begun a new
chapter of our life together here in Panama City Fl. I Believe
that Jesus Christ is my savior, and He is first and foremost in
my life. I attend Hiland Park UPCI where I am a very active
member. My hearts desire is to help other woman navigate
the life of addiction and abuse. Many woman find
themselves trapped in cycle of addiction and abuse. I believe
that through God and a good support system these cycles
can be broken. In my own life, my mother being a single
mom did the best she could to raise 3 of us children, but as
with many of us she made some bad choices which led to
our home being raided in a drug sting and I was taken from
her at the age of 15. For the next 18 years I spent my life
battling with different drugs, and in and out of abusive
relationships. I had tried church; I had tried different
programs, but it was not until I fully surrendered to God that I
was able to escape the addictions that had me bound. It is
my passion and desire to see every woman that enters the
Evers House break the cycle of addiction. I am a living
testimony that no matter the situation there is a way of
escape.
